Cardamom Hills View, Palni Hills.Looking off the southern escarpment of the Palni Hills to the nearby Cardamom Hills beyond the Tamil Nadu-Kerala border. The tree in the foreground is a Rhododendron (Rhododendron arbroreum nilagiricum). This is one of the last remaining habitats of the endangered Nilgiri tahr (Hemitragus hylocrius) in the Palni Hills.
