Dolphin’s Nose Backside, Palni Hills. Rhododendron tree (Rhododendron arbroreum nilagiricum) and remnant grasslands on the southern escarpment of the Palni Hills. This popular hiking spot was named in colonial times for a rock that projects out over a deep gorge. (July 2001).
